  • Azadi Sport Complex

    The Azadi Sport Complex is the national sports complex of Iran based in Tehran.

  • Azadi Stadium

    The Azadi Stadium (Persian: ورزشگاه آزادی) is Iran's national and largest stadium. The Azadi stadium officially has a capacity of 100,000 people and was built to host the 1974 Asian Games. The stadium is part of the much larger Azadi Sports Complex, and is surrounded by a rowing river, football (Soccer) training pitches, weightlifting complex, swimming facilities and indoor volleyball and futsal courts, among many other amenities. Azadi Stadium is fourth biggest association football stadium in the world, third in Asia and first in Iran and the Middle East.

  • Carpet Museum of Iran

    Located in Tehran, beside Laleh Park, and founded in 1976, the Carpet Museum of Iran exhibits a variety of Persian carpets from all over Iran, dating from 18th century to present.

    The museum's exhibition hall occupies 3,400 square meters (10,200 ft²) and its library contains 7,000 books.

    The museum was designed by the last Queen of Iran, Farah Diba Pahlavi. The perforated structure around the museum's exterior is designed both to resemble a carpet loom, and to cast shade on the exterior walls, reducing the impact of the hot summer sun on the interior temperature.

  • Central Bank of Iran

    The Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Persian: بانک مرکزی جمهوری اسلامی ايران, Bank Markazi Jomhouri Islami Iran) is the central bank of Iran. It is entirely government owned. In June 2009, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) decided to revive the Money and Credit Council (MCC). It is the highest banking policy-making body. Its members include the CBI governor, the Finance and Economy minister and two lawmakers (MPs).

  • City Council of Tehran

    The Islamic City Council of Tehran (Persian: شورای اسلامی شهر تهران) is the elected council that presides over the city of Tehran, elects the Mayor of Tehran, and budgets the Municipality of Tehran. It has fifteen members.

  • Iran International Exhibitions Company

    The Iran International Exhibitions Company (IIEC) oversees and operates all international and specialized exhibitions held in Iran. Site features exhibitions calendar and provides trade laws and regulations. IIEC is affiliated with the Iranian Ministry of Commerce. IIEC is located at the Tehran permanent fairground.

  • National Museum of Iran

    The National Museum of Iran (in Persian: موزه ملی ايران Mūze-ye Millī-ye Irān, or موزه ایران باستان Muze-ye Irân-e Bâstân, "Museum of Ancient Iran") is an archeological and historical museum located in Tehran. It preserves ancient Persian antiquities including pottery vessels, metal objects, books, coins etc. It was inaugurated in 1937.

    The museum consists of two buildings. Building One is dedicated to the pre-Islamic collection, while Building Two contains post-Islamic artifacts.

    Building One consists of three halls. The three halls contain artifacts from the lower, middle, and upper Paleolithic, as well as the Neolithic, Chalcolithic, early and late Bronze Age, and Iron Ages I-III, through the Median, Achaemenid, Seleucid, Parthian, and Sassanid periods.

  • Tehran International Tower

    The International Tehran Tower (Persian: برج بین‌المللی تهران) is a 54-story building in Tehran, Iran. It is the tallest residential building in Iran.

    The Tehran International Tower is architecturally designed similar to Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, USA.

    It is located North of Youssef Abad district, close to Kordestan and Resalat expressway.

  • Tehran Metro

    The Tehran Metro is a rapid transit system serving Tehran, the capital of Iran. The system consists of 4 operational lines, with construction having begun on a further two lines in 2007.

    The line uses standard gauge. Ticket price is 1200 IRR for each journey (about USD 0.15, regardless of distance. On all Tehran metro trains, the first and last carriages are reserved for women who do not wish to ride with men in the same car. However, women can still ride other cars freely.

  • Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art

    Tehran's Museum of Contemporary Art (TMOCA) is one of Iran's finest museums, located in Tehran.

    Inaugurated in 1977, and built adjacent to Tehran's Laleh Park, the museum was designed by Iranian architect Kamran Diba, who employed elements from traditional Persian architecture. It is considered to have the largest collection of valuable Western modern art outside of Europe and the United States It is said that there is approximately £2.5 billion pounds worth of modern art held at the museum.

  • Tehran Stock Exchange

    The Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) (Persian: بورس اوراق بهادار تهران) is Iran's largest stock exchange, which first opened in April 1968. The TSE is based in Tehran. As of June 2008, 400 companies, with a market capitalization of US$70 billion were listed on TSE. TSE which is a full member of the World Federation of Exchanges and a founding member of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges, has been one of the world's best performing stock exchanges in recent years.
